What the mural describes.
Step into a world where flat plaster transforms into sculpted marble, where the artistry of the decorative painter creates a breathtaking illusion. Our Grisaille Medallion mural transports you to a grand French interior, where boiserie itself is a masterpiece. Oval portrait reliefs of Roman emperors and goddesses, mythological roundels, and decorative garlands appear to be carved directly from the wall, rendered in a sophisticated palette of greys. Winged putti gracefully support swags of laurel and ribbon, while architectural mouldings of egg-and-dart, dentil, and bead-and-reel frame this symmetrical composition, all brought to life by the painter's greatest trick: the illusion of three-dimensional relief on a perfectly flat surface.
This mural is perfectly suited for a dining room, lending an air of classical elegance and refined sophistication to your entertaining space. Each mural is made to order, precisely printed to your wall's exact measurements, and supplied as numbered drop panels on a luxurious matt non-woven paste-the-wall paper for an impeccable finish that feels both timeless and contemporary.

Asked of the studio.
What is grisaille?
Grisaille is a painting technique using only shades of grey, or sometimes another single colour, to create the illusion of sculpture, often resembling carved stone or bas-relief.
How does this mural create a 3D effect?
Our Grisaille Medallion mural uses trompe-l'oeil painting techniques, including careful shading and highlighting, to simulate the appearance of light and shadow on carved architectural elements, giving the impression of three-dimensional relief on a flat surface.
