The Composition

What the mural describes.

Step into a world where pattern emerges from atmosphere, or dissolves into it. At your feet, the forest floor is a deep, verdant green, where Morris's acanthus scrollwork unfurls in rich, crisp detail – every leaf, flower, and vine tendril rendered with vibrant clarity. As your gaze drifts upwards, the ground softens, transitioning through a mid-emerald to a serene sage. The pattern, too, responds to this ethereal shift, gradually losing its vibrant hue and definition, becoming a ghost of its former self against a pale, misty backdrop at the ceiling. It is a captivating conversation between presence and absence, a dance of light and shadow that breathes life into your walls.

This contemporary masterpiece finds its perfect home as a striking headboard wall in a serene bedroom, an engaging backdrop in a sophisticated living room, or an inspiring feature in a creative studio. Crafted with meticulous care, each mural is printed to your wall's precise measurements on a luxurious matt non-woven paste-the-wall paper, ensuring a seamless and enduring finish that transforms your space.

Each mural is printed to the exact measurements you submit — width, height, and drop — then supplied as sequentially numbered panels, ready to hang in order. Paste system: standard overlap paste, seams pattern-matched. No trimming required.

We work with a trusted network of specialist paperhangers. At the order stage we can introduce a recommended installer in your area — or supply full installation notes for your own hanger.

Questions

Asked of the studio.

What is the dominant colour palette of the Morris Ombre mural?

The Morris Ombre mural features a gradient palette, transitioning from deep forest greens at the base through mid-emerald and sage, culminating in a pale mist at the top. Accents of cream and gold illuminate the detailed pattern in the darker zones.

How does the pattern change from bottom to top?

At the bottom, the Morris acanthus scrollwork is dense, dark, and fully detailed. As it ascends, the pattern gradually loses colour and definition, becoming paler and more ethereal, as if emerging from or dissolving into mist.
