The Composition

What the mural describes.

Painted in the soft, slightly imperfect manner of a Rifle Paper Co. studio applied to the English countryside, The Farmhouse Scatter places its motifs with the deliberate informality of things arranged on a sun-warmed kitchen table. A golden wheat sheaf tied with rough twine sits centre-left alongside a plump, contented farmhouse hen in warm browns and soft terracotta, the two forming the anchor from which everything else radiates. At the half-drop offset, a glass mason jar with a slightly wonky hand-blown rim holds loose lavender sprigs, small white daisies, and rosemary. Crossed herb sprigs tied with twine, a weathered fence post with a songbird on its rail, a woven basket with three brown eggs and one that has rolled away, a bunch of dried lavender hanging upside-down — each element painted without hard outlines in tonal colour that carries visible brushwork and gentle imperfection. A tiny honeybee drifts near a scattered wildflower. The warm cream ground — the colour of sun-faded linen, not sterile white — breathes at sixty percent, making the composition feel airy and considered rather than crowded.

Designed for modern farmhouse kitchens, pantries, mudrooms, breakfast nooks, and country-style bathrooms, The Farmhouse Scatter pairs with reclaimed or light-oak open shelving, apron-front sinks, matte-black or antique-brass hardware, linen tea towels, and dried lavender arrangements. Adjacent walls in Sherwin-Williams Alabaster or a soft sage extend the palette naturally. Printed to your wall's exact dimensions on paste-the-wall non-woven paper in numbered drop panels. How It Arrives

A roll, a paste, a named hanger.

Each mural is printed to the exact measurements you submit — width, height, and drop — then supplied as sequentially numbered panels, ready to hang in order. Paste system: standard overlap paste, seams pattern-matched. No trimming required.

We work with a trusted network of specialist paperhangers. At the order stage we can introduce a recommended installer in your area — or supply full installation notes for your own hanger.

Questions

Asked of the studio.

Can I order this at a custom size, and how is it supplied?

Yes — every order is made to your wall's exact measurements. The half-drop repeat structure means the pattern tiles seamlessly at any wall width without producing obvious horizontal banding or a grid feel. You provide width and height; we supply numbered drop panels printed to match. Swatches are available to confirm the warm cream ground and sage-lavender palette work with your cabinetry and tiles.

What is it printed on, and how does it install?

The Farmhouse Scatter is printed on premium matt non-woven wallpaper, which uses a paste-the-wall installation method — adhesive is applied to the wall rather than the paper. This makes positioning and adjusting each drop considerably easier than traditional wallpaper, and the non-woven substrate is robust and wipeable once installed, which matters in a working kitchen or mudroom.
