What the mural describes.
Observe, as if through the amber-dark patina of centuries-old varnish, a sacred bloom emerging from profound shadow. Each petal, rendered with an almost devotional care, glows with an inner light, modelled from the deepest purple-tinged fold to the warmest lead-white highlight. The darkness itself is not merely an absence of light, but a rich, warm void, hinting at untold depths and the subtle craquelure of age. Golden stamens, finely ground and meticulously placed, catch the unseen light, while a tiny, jewel-like beetle rests in quiet reverence, almost imperceptible against the verdant-dark foliage.

A roll, a paste, a named hanger.
Each mural is printed to the exact measurements you submit — width, height, and drop — then supplied as sequentially numbered panels, ready to hang in order. Paste system: standard overlap paste, seams pattern-matched. No trimming required.
We work with a trusted network of specialist paperhangers. At the order stage we can introduce a recommended installer in your area — or supply full installation notes for your own hanger.

What is the background colour?
The ground is a deep, rich amber-black, reminiscent of aged varnish on an Old Master painting. It is complex and warm, not a stark black.
How do the flowers appear in person?
The peonies possess a remarkable luminosity, appearing to glow from within against the dark background. The colours are dusty, aged pinks, modelled with incredible depth and subtlety.
Is the texture visible?
While the paper itself is smooth, the design incorporates subtle visual textures, such as the craquelure of aged varnish and the finely rendered details of the flower, to enhance the 'Old Master' aesthetic.
