What the mural describes.
A powder blue silk ground (#a8c0d0) holds the most extraordinary gathering in the collection. At the composition's apex, a greater bird of paradise hangs inverted in full courtship display — his golden flank plumes erupting upward in a cascading fountain of filamentous amber and gold feathers that seem to defy gravity, his emerald throat gleaming, two long wire-like tail feathers curving in elegant spirals below him. Against the cool sky-blue, the warm explosion of his display plumes is the defining contrast of the panel. A lilac-breasted roller sweeps through the composition in full flight, wings spread to reveal their impossible palette of lilac, turquoise and cobalt — a flying stained-glass window. A pair of Gouldian finches share a branch, the male with scarlet face and violet breast, the female subtler but still jewel-toned. A sunbird hovers near a rose, metallic plumage shifting between green and violet. Settled on a broad leaf in the lower foreground, an Atlas moth rests wings open — tawny and russet with translucent triangular windows, the size of a human hand, the quiet counterpoint to the bird of paradise's ecstatic motion above. Purple-blue hydrangea clusters mass below; a vivid magenta peony blazes beside pale blush; yellow climbing roses thread warm butter tones through the cooler palette.

What is the paper like to hang, and can I order a custom colourway?
The mural is printed on a high-quality matt non-woven substrate — paste the wall, hang in numbered sequence, butt-join the drops. No specialist installer required. Alternative ground colours — soft sage, pale lavender, or warm white — are available as bespoke commissions; contact us before ordering.
